News: How To Reserve a Picnic Area, Pavilion, or Outdoor Terrace

\Our parks offer several outdoor spaces available for rental, including pavilions, a covered terrace, and open picnic areas. These are great for family gatherings, cookouts, outdoor celebrations, and community events.

Available Outdoor Spaces at Coral Reef Park
Pavilions — East Pavilion, West Pavilion, and Meditation Garden Outdoor Covered Terrace — 1 covered terrace space Open Picnic Areas — Oak Hammock North, Oak Hammock Playground, and Oak Hammock Volleyball

Step 1: Log In to Your Account Go to palmettobayfl.myrec.com and click "Log In" in the top menu. Enter your email and password. If you don't have an account yet, click "Create Account" and follow the prompts to set one up first.

Step 2: Go to Rentals From the main menu, click "Rentals" then "Facility List." You will see a list of all available facilities.

Step 3: Select Your Space Browse the outdoor facilities and click on the one you'd like to reserve. Each space has its own pricing and availability.

Step 4: Check Availability Use the calendar to see which dates are open. One booking per space per day is allowed for picnic areas. Pavilions and the terrace may have multiple bookings on the same day depending on time slots.

Step 5: Submit Your Request Select your preferred date and rental duration, then submit your rental request. Minimum and maximum hours vary by space (see fee table below). Open picnic areas are a fixed full-day rental from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Please note: This is a request, not a confirmed reservation. Our Parks & Recreation staff will review your request and follow up with you to confirm availability, finalize the details, and process your payment including the required security deposit.

Step 6: Wait for Confirmation You will receive a follow-up from our staff, typically within 1–2 business days. Once your request is approved, staff will create your reservation including the deposit and fees. You will then receive an invoice that you can view and pay online through your account.

Step 7: Payment and Permit Log into your account to view your invoice and pay the balance by credit card. After payment is received, your rental permit will be emailed to you automatically. Save this for your records.

Pavilion Fees (East Pavilion, West Pavilion, Meditation Garden)
Base Rate (5-hour minimum) — $317.74 (includes $100.00 refundable security deposit) Each Additional Hour — $32.10 Maximum rental: 8 hours. Booking start 9:00 AM, latest start 1:00 PM.

Outdoor Covered Terrace Fees
Base Rate (5-hour minimum) — $474.50 (includes $100.00 refundable security deposit) Each Additional Hour — $80.25 Maximum rental: 8 hours. Booking start 9:00 AM, latest start 2:00 PM.

Open Picnic Area Fees (Oak Hammock North, Playground, Volleyball)
Full Day (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) — $223.58 (includes $100.00 refundable security deposit) This is a fixed time rental. Hourly bookings are not available for picnic areas.
All fees include 7% sales tax. The $100.00 security deposit is refundable pending a satisfactory post-event inspection.

Senior Discount Residents age 65 and older may be eligible for a 10% discount. Contact the Parks & Recreation Department to have the discount applied to your account before booking.
